Day 31 of 365 Things to do in Burlington – Brantford Twin Valley Zoo

I know this page is supposed to promote Burlington things to do, but I couldn’t resist adding this place as it is close enough to Burlington and is an excellent family activity. My children are 3 years and 3 months, so going to the Metro Zoo, is a bit much at this stage. The Brantford Twin Valley Zoo is an excellent facility to entertain the young ones!

When you enter the park, the kids get to walk into the Goat petting area. It was a great way to start the day. We gave Hartley (3 year old) the map and let him lead the way. Monkeys, jungle cats, camel, bears, and birds had him running from cage to cage. The Kids Zone and picnic area was nice for a little break. We had a nice picnic as we watched the deer roam in the field.

Be sure to check out one of the animal shows as it will give your little ones a chance to get up close to the critters.

An excellent, exciting and budget friendly event for the entire family.

Here is what the Zoo would like you to know
There’s no better way to learn about the wonderful animals of this world than to experience them up close and in person. Our goal at the Brantford Twin Valley Zoo is to create an enjoyable environment where children (and adults) can learn about animals of the world. Through this we aid in educating people about the importance of wildlife and the environment.
Come visit the animals, bring along your lunch and enjoy our picnic area, and take a stroll on a short nature trail (less than 1km long) in our 5 acres of woodland.
