Sean helped us sell our first home and his expertise and knowledge helped to make it such an uncomplicated and wonderful experience. He answered all my questions, was very reassuring and listened to all my concerns. He knew what questions to ask, which answer to give and related to experiences which made me feel very comfortable.

Listing and selling our home with Leo Manchisi and Sean Kavanagh of Century 21 Miller Real Estate proved to be an effortless, stress-free process from start to finish. At the initial introductory meeting, they were very friendly and re-assuring as they explained their marketing strategy, which included both their commitment to us, and what we had to do to prepare our house for optimum “show-ability”. This included deciding which furnishings should remain, which should go into storage, and any overall decor improvements that would present potential buyers with positive “first-view” impressions. Their entire presentation was both logical and thorough, and we signed the listing contract the following week. The house went on the market 5 days later, and sold that same evening for $50,000 over the asking price (but only after the offer had been fully explained, and all questions answered to our satisfaction).
EVERYTHING went VERY smoothly, from the initial meeting, to signing the final contract for the sale of our home. During both the pre- and post-sale process, Leo and Sean were cheerful and upbeat, and always kept us informed re the progress; also, if we had any concerns, they were always available to answer our questions in a timely fashion via a return phone call or an SMS text. Our intent after the house sale was to rent for at least a year while we assessed our future requirements, and Leo and Sean gave up 2 afternoons to drive us around Burlington to view the available leasing accommodations that would suit our needs. A service that was much appreciated.

My Husband and I just purchased our first home back in November. Sean was recommended to us by close friends who had Sean as their realtor in the past. When we decided to sell our home we were very nervous about picking the right agent for us. We decided to go to open houses and find one in action. Many agents were either to aggressive or sitting at a table on their phone. Sean was exactly what we were looking for. He had a beautiful brochure of the home and was very knowledgable about the features of the house. We decided to ask Sean to come and meet with us. We also asked other agents with signs all around the city to come as well. After all the interviews, Sean was by far the best. He respected us from the moment he stepped into our home. He had a plan of action and knew what he was talking about. Best decision we made. 

Sean helped us look at many houses. This Market was very stressful buying in and Sean helped us not to lose hope. The night we found our house, I had emailed Sean three that we wanted to look at. He told us that he also had one that we should see. You will never guess the house we bought. He knew exactly what would be the right fit for us and it was a house that we had over looked. If it wasn’t for him taking us there, we would not be as happy as we are now. That is an agent who knows his clients. 

After buying, we now had the task of selling. We were very nervous but Sean told us to trust him and he will sell our home. We listened and he came through. We got the most money we could get for our home because of his strategy and hard work. We can truly say that if we would have hired anyone else we would be in a very different situation right now. Selling/buying a home should be left in the hands of someone who understands completely that this is your life your trusting them with. Sean does understand that.

I appreciated all the opinions from his team, from getting my house “prepared” for the market to adjusting my price when needed.  The market is tough these days and I never felt that I was alone in this experience.  It’s a “process” I was told and even though I was stressed about getting things done I never felt that they were (even if they were) I would recommend their services to anyone who would like to feel like “family” when making one of the biggest decisions of one’s life.

As I have previously said, today’s market is a little tougher then it has been in the past, but in the end I felt comfortable and at ease with the steps I was lead to take to get my home sold. 

We mainly dealt with Leo, however their whole team was a pleasure to deal with. Both Leo and Mairi came to our home prior to selling and spent an entire day with my wife helping get organized as well as offering numerous tips on how to best present our home during showings. 

This was our first experience buying/selling and with two young children, all of their tips and recommendations were a tremendous help. 

At one point amid the process, Leo had a previously booked family vacation and during the week which he was away, Sean stepped in and seamlessly helped us with an offer on a home and the negotiations which ensued. When we were starting our search for an agent to sell out home, we had spoken with a few Agents who had been recommended by family, but we were always on the look out for an Agent we felt was a better fit. Out for a walk one day in our neighbourhood, we came across an open house Sean was hosting. My husband went inside to take a look at the house (to compare to ours) and took Sean’s contact information. His first impression was, “Wow! That guys knows how to showcase a house! We need to set up a meeting with him to take a look at ours.”

When we did meet with Sean, we just clicked. We loved his personality, his work ethic, his listing strategies and his sense of humour. Sean was so great from the start. His introduction, constant follow up and dedication to us as clients was exceptional. When we made the decision to list with Sean, we were so nervous about the strategy that it wouldn’t work, what would happen if it didn’t sell, how were we going to manage maintaining the house for showings when I was back to work Full Time, my husband was working Full Time shift work, with a dog and 10 month old running around. When John and I decided to sell our house, we had no idea how to find a real estate agent. A friend of mine told me about Sean Kavanagh and said she would let him know we were looking for an agent. Making a decision to downsize, pull up roots, change jobs and make a new community my home, was difficult. It was made possible by so much help from my family and friends, and I include you as a new friend who helped me when I didn’t know what to do. Improvements were made easy by your capable trades persons. You always made time to bring me to viewings and you seemed to know better what I wanted than I did myself. You steered me away from questionable neighbourhoods or poor commuting routes. You pointed out the drawbacks of some of the older homes I thought I wanted.
