In honour of Remembrance Day Sunday, Nov. 11, a parade will take place in downtown Oakville and culminate with a Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph in George’s Square.
The Oakville Legion, Branch 114 annual Remembrance Day Parade will form at 10:15 a.m. at corner of Church and Navy Streets, leave at 10:30 a.m. and march along Lakeshore Road, east to Trafalgar Road, north on Trafalgar to St. George’s Square Cenotaph. A service will then take place at the Cenotaph at 11 a.m.
In the parade, veterans will be joined by members of the Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, Halton Regional Police, Oakville Fire Department, Knights of Columbus, cadets, scouts and guides and local dignitaries.
The ceremony at 11 a.m. includes two minutes of silence and a special presentation of In Flanders Fields by the St. Andrew’s Children’s Choir.
Following the ceremony, veterans will march back to Church and Navy Streets.
BURLINGTON
Sunday, November 11
9:00 am — Sunrise Remembrance Day Service – Spencer Smith Park
This 30-minute ceremony takes place at the Naval Ships Memorial Monument in Spencer Smith Park.
10:30 am — Remembrance Day Parade – Brant to Elgin Street, Elgin to Locust Street, Locust to Ontario Street. The parade will start at Central Public School.
11:00 am — Remembrance Day Service – Cenotaph, City Hall, 426 Brant Street
Veterans will take the salute during the ceremony.
6:00 pm — Remembrance Day Dinner at Legion (Veterans and spouse are free)
WATERDOWN

Remembrance Day Parade
The Milton branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will be holding its annual Remembrance Day parade. The parade will begin at the Legion, 21 Charles Street, and will march to the Cenotaph at Victoria Park for the service commencing at 2:00 p.m. Reception at the Legion to follow.
The parade will start at 1:30 p.m.
HAMILTON
Sunday, November 11 | 10:45 am
Join us for a Remembrance Day service at the cenotaph in Veterans’ Place at Gore Park as we honour Hamilton’s veterans and service men and women.
The parade will start on James Street North in front of the John Weir Foote V.C. Armoury, travel south on James Street and then east on King Street to Gore Park where the remembrance service will be observed. The parade will return to the Armoury following the service along the same route. This is a free event. All are welcome.
Road closure: King Street will be closed from Catharine Street to James Street from 10:00 am to 11:30 am to accommodate the service.
