All Roads Will Remain Open

This free event is expected to be a busy one! In addition to adding more animation all across the downtown (to avoid congestion), organizers are working with the Halton Regional Police and crossing guards at key intersections. They are also working with the City of Burlington for increased signage to drivers and reviewing the possibility of removing on-street parking (on Brant Street) to avoid any line-of-sight issues and allow for more pedestrian room next to the sidewalks. Safety is a top priority.

Here are some helpful hints to ensure all the little ghosts and goblins in the streets are safe to haunt from place to place, collecting goodies along the way!

? Look both ways and review the rules of the road with your kids! All streets will remain open to vehicles during the event, so please make sure to use designated crosswalks and the extra police-directed traffic areas to move around the neighbourhood safely.

? Check all of your treats thoroughly and carefully; the event is not peanut-free!

? Stay mindful of your surroundings, and if you have any concerns, the event coordinators and team of volunteers in the orange shirts are here to help.

Be safe and have fun!
