The Weekend of September 21, 22

One of the most beautiful seasons of the year is Fall, and there is nothing better than getting out and enjoying all the things that Fall has to offer. Fall fairs, festivals, farmers markets, harvest festivals and fresh-picked apples. Here are a few events happening this weekend. Enjoy!!!

Harvest Festival at Springridge Farm

Weekends beginning Saturday, September 21 to Sunday, October 27, including Thanksgiving Monday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Admission to Harvest Festival: $13.00 (includes HST) per person, ages 2-92.
There is no charge to visit the farm market, bakery and gift shop.

Harvest Festival activities include:

  • A Professional Puppet Show  (Show Times: 11:00 am, 12:00 pm,
    1:00 pm, 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm)
  • Wagon Ride to the 5-acre Corn Trail
  • Spooky Boo Barn
  • Spider Web Climber
  • Farm Yard Pipe Slides
  • Access to The Fun Farm Yard: Animal Barn, Giant Sandbox, Corn Trail, Tube Slides, Straw Bale Jumping and Escarpment Lookout
  • Singing Chicken Show
  • Goat Mountain
  • Pony Rides are available for an additional $5 per ride.
  • The Springridge Farm BBQ Barn is open for Harvest Festival. Menu items include grilled-to-perfection hotdogs, sausages, corn on the cob, apple chips and the Little Farmer Lunch combo for kids.

Acton Fall Fair

Friday, September 20 | 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

A Fair for All Seasons, the 106th annual Acton Fall Fair poultry and cattle shows, light and heavy horse shows, popcorn tasting contest, popcorn bingo, live musical entertainment, tractor pulls, Miss Acton pageant, exhibits, midway and food.

All Ages | $9 for adults, $8 for youth (13-17) and seniors, $4 for kids

Ancaster Fall Fair

Ancaster Fairgrounds | 630 Trinity Road South | Hamilton
Family ties and homemade pies at the 169th Ancaster Fair. Livestock exhibits, shows, crafts, baking, canning and so much more. There will be competitions, food and craft concessions, and endless entertainment.

Ancaster Fair is always the 3rd weekend after Labour Day and guaranteed to be full of family fun. World’s Finest Shows midway spectacular line up of rides and games.

HSR shuttle will bring you to the fair Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Regular rates apply.

Applefest Fall Fair

Sunday, September 22 | 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Ireland House Museum | 2168 Guelph Line | Burlington
Celebrate the changing of the seasons at Ireland House Museum’s Applefest Fall Fair. The day will feature main stage entertainment, food trucks, museum tours, a Kids Farm Zone, animal attractions, historic demonstrators, antique cars, vendors, and a mini farmers market. Admission is $5/person. FREE parking is available at MM Robinson High School.
