Burlassic Park – Game 4

Burlington’s hugely popular Burlassic Park is moving to the Central Park Bandshell for Games 3 and 4 due to construction work at City Hall. Games 5, 6 and 7 will be at Civic Square in downtown Burlington.
The following are the dates, times and locations for Burlassic Park NBA Finals public viewing parties:
Game 4: Friday, June 7: Central Park Bandshell. Viewing party begins
at 8:30 pm
Game 5: Monday, June 10. Civic Square. Viewing party begins at 8:30 pm
Game 6: Thursday, June 13. Civic Square. Viewing party begins at 8:30 pm
Game 7: Sunday, June 16. Civic Square Viewing party begins at 7:30 pm
The City of Burlington will be hosting game viewings rain or shine. As the games are likely to go beyond 11:00 p.m., City Council has granted a Noise Bylaw exemption for all days.

Sound of Music Festival Kick Off
Saturday, June 8 | 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm

The kick-off concert lineup includes Bush, +Live+, Monster Truck, Headstones, Crown Lands, Black Mountain Whiskey Rebellion and The Castor Troys. Tickets on sale now; proceeds support free performances during Sound of Music Festival Father’s Day weekend.

Fit in the Core

Our wildly popular free outdoor fitness classes Fit in the Core is back every Sunday this year beginning on Sunday, June 2 at a new location! As Civic Square gets an upgrade we’ll be holding our Fit in the Core sessions outside the Burlington Performing Arts Centre on their plaza.
Now in its seventh year, Fit in the Core is a free one-hour class led by the fitness and wellness experts from downtown. The series features everything from boot camps to yoga, Pilates and even dance classes. Classes are held every Sunday from June 2 to September 22 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. All that is required is a mat and a water bottle.

Guided Trail Walks: Bronte Creek Heritage Trail

Meet in the parking lot at Westbrook Park.
Join us on Oakville’s beautiful trails. Led by a certified fitness professional, the trail walks are about 1.5 km long. Strollers and baby carriers for young children are strongly recommended. Remember to bring comfortable and sturdy shoes, water, and your enthusiasm! All ages welcome. Pets and bikes are not permitted. Rain or shine. This walk will focus on being active, but will not have an educational component.
