Lawn Mower Tune-Up

With the weather starting to warm up, it’s time to think about starting up your lawn mower for the first time. Before you know it the grass will need to be cut — be ready!

1. Make sure you top off the tank with some fresh fuel.

2. Check the air cleaners for little critters that could have made a home.

3. Check the blade for any obstacles or old grass stuck in the way of the blade. Most important check the oil level for low oil or too much oil both are equally dangerous.

4. Finally let her rip, if it does not start after priming and doing all the regular startup items then it’s not going to.

5. Don’t waste your time with carburator cleaners or seafoam they will not unclog a carburator and you will just be wasting your time and money.

6. Contact a small engine mechanic to have the carburator replaced. This fix is less costly than you would think and definitely cheaper than buying a brand new lawn mover!

If you have questions regarding where to find small engine or marine motors mechanics, please don’t hesitate to reach out as we would be happy to help point you in the right direction.

Happy Mowing! ?
