All Things Maple

Maple Town
March 2 – April 7 | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Mountsberg | 2259 Millborough Line | Campbellville
Mountsberg’s sugar bush has been producing maple magic for almost 150 years, and educating the public for more than 30 years! Approximately 600 trees are tapped during what could certainly be deemed the most Canadian of the seasons, where watery sap is transformed into sweet maple syrup in the Sugar Shanty. See how sap is magically transformed into sweet, sticky syrup, and smell the fragrant steam rising from simmering kettles. Learn the secrets of making Maple Candy.

Sweet Water Season
March 2 – April 7 | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Crawford Lake | 3115 Conservation Road | Milton
Weekends, March Break and holidays – Visit the reconstructed Iroquoian Village and learn how maple syrup was discovered and used by Indigenous People as you take in an interactive (and edible!) Sweet Water demonstration. Nostalgia is served in the afternoon as staff demonstrate how to make taffy on snow. Try a tasting flight of different grades and types of syrup before heading to the gift shop to pick up a delicious souvenir. Kids will enjoy winning a prize for completing the maple-themed discovery hunt!
