Just Walk! Free Guided Walks

Walking is good for your health. Thanks to Just Walk Hamilton-Burlington who organize a new outdoor community walking program led by local healthcare professionals with support from the City of Burlington’s Neighbourhood Community Matching Fund. Just Walk Hamilton-Burlington will be hosting 12 walks in Burlington between February and September. Each walk is open to all abilities and pre-registration is not required.
The first event of 2019 is on Saturday, February 23 at 9:00 a.m. with Physiotherapist Jake Tumber. The free, fun and supervised walk will take place at City View Park, 2500 Kerns Rd., Burlington.
RBG Winter Exhibit: Spiders Alive!

We’ve invited spiders and their arthropod friends to crawl on over for a visit this winter. Explore amazing adaptations and behaviours of spiders and other many-legged creatures in two interactive exhibits and daily programs for all ages. Included in your General Admission or Membership.
Open Family Gym

Back To Nature Hike

Free Guided Hike Each Sunday – September through May: 2 p.m., June through August: 10 a.m. Each Sunday of the month our volunteer Back to Nature hike leaders offer free hikes through the vast ecosystems of RBG’s lands, allowing people to familiarize themselves with the area so they can continue to explore with their friends and family.
The route and meeting point for these guided Sunday hikes rotate each week; see the guide below for where to find this week’s hike, or visit rbg.ca/visitorevents for a schedule of everything going on at RBG.
1st Sunday of every month: Hendrie Valley; meet at Cherry Hill Gate parking lot
2nd: Princess Point; meet at the Princess Point parking lot
3rd: Cootes North Shore; meet at the Nature Interpretive Centre
4th: Cootes South Shore; meet at the Aviary parking lot on Oak Knoll Drive, Hamilton
5th: Rock Chapel; meet at the Rock Chapel trailhead parking lot
Shinny Recreational Hockey

Skyway Arena | 129 Kenwood Avenue | Burlington
Supervised recreational hockey allows youth the opportunity to participate in a game of pick-up hockey. Mandatory equipment includes: CSA approved helmet with face cage, shin pads, hockey sticks and gloves. Please bring student cards to each visit. Ages 8-12. Drop-in fee: $4.70 plus tax per youth.
